Hello! And welcome to a showcase of my projection designs and studio experiments. My work exists in collaboration with other artists: studio artists, set designers, lighting designers, costumer designers, directors, performers of all sorts, across many genres of the art where moving images provides depth to the stories being told. I work in live performance, like theatre, opera, ballet, and in a digital space, such as pre-viz for public sculpture. My designs are often rooted in photography enhanced or altered in 3D models and simulations. Higher resolution renders available upon request.

VFX Noodling

Inspired by the preliminary renderings of Alexander Dodge's scenic design for Atlanta Opera's production of Cabaret (asst: Emma Antenen) directed by Tomer Zvulun, I set out a plan to show not only how a brick could be thrown through the window, but what other things could befall it as part of my initial pitch for the projection design. I did not end up working on that production, but the plan for the reel stuck and this is a demonstration of a number of dynamic simulations within Houdini rendered with Redshift, showing a bit of what dcp creative, llc can do as a VFX design studio.
