People of Peking!Turandot begins with the people of Peking eagerly anticipating the execution of the Prince of Persia when the moon finally rises above the clouds.
Pu-Tin-Pao: The Executioner ArrivesThe Prince of Persia will be executed when Turandot gives the approval after he sued for her hand and failed to answer her riddles.
Turandot AppearsTurandot does not sing in Act I, but here the people have seen the Prince of Persia and are clamoring for mercy. In our production, Turandot appears among the stars, the appearance itself signaling that the Prince of Persia will be executed.
The Minister's SceneThe Ministers, Ping, Pang, and Pong lament that their lives have become assistants to the executioner under Turandot.
Ho Una CasaAt the top of Act II, the Ministers, Ping, Pang, and Pong lament their current jobs as managers of executions and long for their distant homes in beautiful places, from the court of the cruel Princess Turandot

FGO Turandot 2026 - The Second RiddleThe middle point of the trials, Calaf struggled but does manage to answer Turandot's second riddle: Blood. Turandot is far from pleased and the character burns away because of Calaf's solution but also Turandot's simmering anger at the course of this set of trials. FGO Turandot 2026 - Nessun Dorma FinaleTurandot has sent her functionaries throughout Peking to announce that no one shall sleep (nessun dorma) under pain of death until the stranger prince's name has been found. Calaf revels in the confusion in front of him, announcing his certainty of his own triumph. FGO Turandot 2026 - Liu's Spirit ExitsLiu has killed herself to prevent her from uttering Calaf's name. Timur was unconscious when it happened and when he discovers her death, he curses the people of Peking who plead with Liu's ghost to forgive them. Liu's spirit rises as she is taken away, erasing all color from the world around her, but eventually leaving along with her body rather than oppress these unfortunate souls.
